Thania Solís, former councilor, has been appointed delegate in the central portfolio of the opposition Miguel Hidalgo, in Mexico City. This appointment has drawn attention because Solís does not maintain good ties with former mayor Víctor Hugo Romo; however, it does not surprise those who recognize that the local deputy was one of the main promoters of Omar García Harfuch's campaign.
Thania Solís, who was a councilor in the area from 2018 to 2021, was initially close to Ricardo Monreal but has teamed up with the Head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada. Due to this appointment, Solís joins the structure deployed by Clara Brugada throughout Mexico City, with a strategy aimed at strengthening management in the areas governed by Morena and strengthening the structure to compete in the 2027 elections.
Clara Brugada's government aims to reinforce its territorial presence and work in the different boroughs, with the goal of competing for more boroughs in the upcoming elections. This strategy involves the area secretary, Tomás Pliego, and his undersecretary, Ángel Sánchez. Brugada's administration has also made advancements in the formation of the Secretary of Citizen Participation in the various boroughs of the capital.
Clara Brugada has been focused on strengthening her team and presence in different regions of Mexico City to meet her political objectives. In that regard, she has appointed several delegates in different boroughs, such as Emilio Villar in Coyoacán, Alan García in Gustavo Madero, Martín Padilla in Azcapotzalco, and Erika Barrientos in Cuauhtémoc. These actions are part of a strategic plan for future elections and the commemoration of the first 100 days of her administration.
